꼭 상기해야 할 것

신명기 6:1-12

오늘 내가 네게 명하는 이 말씀을 너는 마음에 새기고-신명기 6:6
인류학자 안소니 그래쉬는 냉장고 겉을 보면 그 사람이 어떤 것을 중요하게 여기는지 알 수 있다고 말합니다. 그래쉬와 그의 동료들은 로스앤젤레스에 사는 가족들을 연구하던 중, 학교 일정표와 가족사진, 아이들 그림, 자석 등, 평균 52가지가 냉장고에 붙어있다는 것을 알게 되었습니다. 그래쉬는 냉장고를 “가족들 추억의 장소”라고 부릅니다.
하나님은 우리에게 그분의 신실하심을, 그리고 우리가 말씀에 순종할 것을 상기시키기 위해 사진이나 유품, 혹은 성경구절 같은 실제적인 것들을 사용하기도 하십니다. 약속의 땅 가나안으로 들어가기 직전 이스라엘 백성에게 한 연설에서, 모세는 하나님이 그들에게 주신 모든 명령을 지킬 것을 강력히 권고했습니다. “네 자녀에게 부지런히 가르치며 집에 앉았을 때에든지 길을 갈 때에든지…이 말씀을 강론할 것이며 또 네 집 문설주와 바깥문에 기록할지니라”(신 6:7,9).
하나님의 말씀을 집이나 삶의 현장에 눈에 잘 띄는 곳에 놓아둠으로써, 그들은 “너는 조심하여 너를…종 되었던 집에서 인도하여 내신 여호와를 잊지 말라”(12절)는 것을 날마다 절실히 되새길 수 있었습니다.
오늘 주님은 우리가 주님의 말씀에 순종할 때 우리 앞길을 신실하게 지켜주시는 주님을 의지할 수 있다는 사실을 잊지 말라고 권면하십니다.
- 하나님 아버지, 하나님의 신실하심과 사랑으로 돌보심을 매일 깨닫게 해주시니 감사합니다. 주님의 말씀에 순종함으로써 주님을 영화롭게 하소서.
매일 받는 축복은 하나님의 신실하심을 날마다 되새겨준다.

Anthropologist Anthony Graesch says that the outside of a refrigerator reveals what’s important to people. During a research study of families in Los Angeles, Graesch and his colleagues noted an average of 52 items posted on the fridge—including school schedules, family photos, children’s drawings, and magnets. Graesch calls the refrigerator “a repository of family memory.”
The Lord may use a tangible item like a photo, keepsake, or Scripture verse to remind us of His faithfulness and the call to obey His Word. When Moses addressed the Israelites just before they entered the land of Canaan, he urged them to keep all the commands God had given them. “Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road . . . . Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates” (Deut. 6:7, 9).
Giving God’s Word a visible place of honor in their homes and lives was a powerful daily reminder to “be careful that you do not forget the Lord, who brought you . . . out of the land of slavery” (v. 12).
Today the Lord encourages us to remember that as we obey His Word, we can depend on His faithful care for all that lies ahead. —David McCasland

너는 조심하여 너를…종 되었던 집에서 인도하여 내신 여호와를 잊지 말라”(12절)
자신이 노력해서가 아니라 하나님의 힘으로 죄에서 탈출하면 그 후유증을 광야에서 겪나봅니다.
그래서 가나안이 아니라 광야에 잇게 하시나 봅니다.
하늘아버지여.
지 무기력은 제가 불순종하여 여러번 죽음을 시도한 그 힘에서 나올 것입니다.
노력하나 다 안될꺼야. 라는 내 안에 작은 그러나 힘있는 메세지.
하늘아버지여.
저를 붙들어 주소서. 당신에게 달린 내 삶이랍니다.
저는 정말 제 삶을 소망하고 바라고 바랄수 있도록 마음을 부어주소서. 어리석지 않게 도와주소서.예수님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
